WE ARE BACK!!!

Hi everyone!

30 days, £2000, 3700 photos, 1 broken SatNav, cracked windscreen, 2 bent wheels and broken rear suspension later – WE ARE BACK!!!

It has truly been an epic Journey... In a months’ time we have covered nearly 8500 miles, an average of 280 miles per day, crossed two seas and 6 countries. Along the way, freezing in the snow, being soaked with rain or dying of thirst, even when the car broke down, we did not surrender but always pushed further. We have met some absolutely brilliant people, seen some pretty amazing sights and lived through some exciting moments. We had our highs and lows, moments of doubt and astonishment but we do not regret a thing... well maybe except having to turn around and get back home rather than keep pushing further into Africa ;)

This event has not been an easy undertaking as the whole journey itself was prepared and executed solely by ourselves and utilising our own financial resources. We have received brilliant support for the charity side of our event with £150 raised in my call centre alone, over £300 raised online and a car graphics kindly prepared free of charge by IDENTIPRINT.CO.UK and a car full of useful items that we delivered directly to the more needing.

As promised along our route we have purchased many unique items with the thought of auctioning them off upon our return. Not only have we spent all of the £150 raised in the call centre in the Eve Branson Foundation’s shop which benefited the girls from the Foundation directly, but also along all those items we will put some of our own souvenirs and a few donated things up for the auction as well.

For the next few weeks our goal is to do what we were not able to do in Africa, mainly due to Arabic/French keyboards, lack of time and the internet being delivered on the back of camels (supposing by its ‘lightening’ speed) – update our blog with text, pictures and organise the auction.

So please watch this space!
